She was born as Sweety Shetty in Manglore. She belongs to Guthu family. Her mohter is Prafulla and father AN Vittal Shetty. She has two brothers Gunarajan and Sai Ramesh. She did her bachlore degree at Mound Carmel College Banglore. She is a well trained in yoga under Bharat Thakur.

She started her career as an actress on 2005. Her body structure is fantastic with sexy curves. It will make jelosy to all other tittle actress except Namitha becouse she could not reduce her fat. In 2007 she has 4 releases and most of them have  in success chart.

In 2006 her first film Vikramarkudu become a greate success and she was stick on the industry. In the same year she acted in 4 film. She stared in Astram the remake of Sarfarosh (hindi). In the same year she was intoduced in tamil film by Sunder. C the film Randu with Madhavan. In the same year she done a special appearance in Stalin, telungu film.

In 2007 she started with 'Lakshyam' and continued her success with Nagarjuna in Don. In 2008 she acted in six films. In that year she got a mega hit film named 'Shouryam'. The all other films she acted in 2007, was poor in box office.

In 2009 comes her mega mega hit Arundhati. This charector gave her filmfare award and also the film was a commercial hit. She made two roles in this film. All film magazines where gave here a good coverage about her role in the film.
